Here is some helpful information and our terms of service.

By joining the choir, you are accepting the terms and conditions as set out below. If you have any questions, please contact Victoria here.

Membership fees

The termly fee of £132 covers rehearsals, online resources, concerts and performances.

You have the option to pay for a full term or in two half term instalments of £66.

Payment must be made before the first session of each term or half term.

Payments are non-refundable. Please ensure you can commit to the term/half term before paying.

Commitment

The priority of this choir is to enjoy singing together!

We understand that it is not always possible to attend every rehearsal. However, if you miss a session, it is important to keep up at home using the online resources and the guidance Victoria sends out each week via the WhatsApp group.

Throughout the year we build a repertoire of songs that we have opportunities to perform at concerts and gigs. Regular attendance and keeping up at home ensures we can enjoy learning together as a group.

If you are unable to attend a session

For planning purposes, it is helpful for Victoria to know if you are unable to attend a rehearsal. On a week you cannot attend, please fill in the google form sent on the WhatsApp group each Wednesday.

If you are running late for a rehearsal

Doors open at 7.45 for an 8pm start.

As we rehearse upstairs, there will be no-one on the door after 8pm. If you arrive late, please let us know by messaging the choir WhatsApp group. Someone will pop down to let you in, but you may need to wait until there’s a natural break in the session eg. between the warm up and first song.

Performances

We perform throughout the year (usually between 2 and 4 performances). These are relaxed, fun and nearly always family friendly. There is no pressure to take part if you prefer not to.

It is important you let Victoria know well in advance if you are planning not to attend a performance.

Communication

We have found WhatsApp to be the best tool to keep in touch. By joining the choir you consent to be included on the Green Tree Chorus WhatsApp group unless you indicate otherwise.

If you stop using WhatsApp during your choir membership, please let Victoria know an alternative way to keep in touch.

The WhatsApp group is for choir related communication only. Please do not post anything not relevant to choir without prior permission from Victoria.

Film & Photography

There is often film and photography at concerts and performances and occasionally during rehearsals. These images and videos may be used on our website or social media. By joining the choir, you consent to this unless you let us know otherwise.

Cancelled sessions

In the rare event that a session needs to be cancelled, Victoria will make up for any rehearsal time lost. This may be in the form of an additional rehearsal date added to the term, extra time added to planned sessions, online sessions or the creation of home-learning videos to guide your practice at home.
